No Lake Draw Down This Year

By Steven Anthony
Saturday, October 8th, 2016

There will be NO lake draw down

Thanks to everyone who responded to my inquiry about this weekend’s planned lake draw down. I had many thoughtful replies.

I spoke with Alan Cote from the town of Derry on Monday and he made the decision not to draw down the lake for the near future.  He reserves the right to pull the boards on the lake if circumstances change drastically.

We were most concerned about the affect further draw down of the lake may have on dug wells near the lake.  I had a number of residents ask specifically about this.  We were also concerned about residents who had planned, permitted construction.  I heard from a few residents and they were fine with this decision.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the BLIA.
