Clean Up Day
There will be a Fall Clean Up Day on Saturday October 10th. We will canvas all the roads around the lake that day. In order to ensure social distancing, we will NOT meet at the bridge as we typically do to organize, socialize and start together. Instead, please email StevenAnthony@Beaver-Lake.org for an assigned area. While we historically begin at 9am, you can do your section any time that day. Bags will be available prior to the event at the Anthony’s.
Lake Draw Down
The lake is low due to the drought conditions and it is going to go even lower. Every year and this year included, the town opens the gate at the dam in the week following Columbus Day, typically Tuesday, to allow residents to perform maintenance on their walls. There are several residents waiting for that to occur so work can begin. Please consider taking your boat out soon.
Although the dam is opened every year, the past two years the level has not dropped and in fact it rose in 2018 due to the volume of rain that Fall. Last year the busy beaver(s) were giving the town employees extra work by blocking the dam numerous times throughout the Fall.
Dock Removal
The Beaver Lake community will be coming together once again to help neighbors with removal of docks. The team will begin Saturday October 17th and continue for the following two weeks through October 31st. If you need help with your dock, please email StevenAnthony@Beaver-Lake.org to coordinate a date. Please ask for help early. October 31st is the last weekend. This is a free service of BLIA member volunteers to help our neighbors.
